Sewing Basics 1:

 Getting to know the sewing machine.

1/2 day

 Sewing machine control exercise. 

How to:  sew 3 seams, hems and curves.

Sewing Intermediate 1:

Create a fastening sampler.

1/2 day

How to : make button holes, apply buttons, poppas, velcro,  insert a zip 

Sewing Intermediate 2: 

Quilting and Bias binding sampler.

1/2 day

How to: Mark up and and prepare quilting, machine quilting techniques.

Creative quilting.

Make and apply bias binding.

Sewing Intermediate 3:

Applique & piping techniques.

Full day

AM session - 

How to: Use different methods of applique, design and transfer onto fabric using bondaweb or by hand sewing. Apply using zig zag or decorative stitch settings.

PM session - Make up a cushion cover with a piped edge.

How to: make single piping, apply zip and make up cushion.

Essential Alterations:

1/2 Day

How to: Mark up and alter hem and cuff lengths using tailoring techniques, level a hem, use both machine and hand finishes.

You are welcome to bring along your items from home to take up or let down hems and cuffs.
